Building materials manufacturer, Aggregate Industries, has successfully supplied walling and roofing products to Redrow’s prestigious development on the northern edge of Bradleys Lake in the Cotswold Water Park, Gloucestershire. Each of the 124 properties has been carefully designed to blend seamlessly with the surrounding landscape, with homes arranged in an arc around the water’s edge, providing each a southerly aspect and open views across the lake. Rough dressed walling in Buff was specified for exterior walls as a cost effective alternative to natural stone, while concrete aggregate blocks were used for the structural build. Conservation roofing tiles were specified to help meet the stringent demands of the conservation planning area. Visually authentic, the reconstructed stone roof tiles provide a viable alternative to natural stone slates, and were supplied in a full range of diminishing lengths and random widths for an authentic appearance. This particular site was very special to Aggregate Industries as it was one of their former manufacturing sites.
